This Singer Featherweight sewing machine is absolutely gorgeous in this Wisteria color!  Completely restored inside and out - this Featherweight 221 will be ready to sew (or display) right out of the case. It is fitted with an original 110-volt motor that has been rewound to work at optimum speed and torque. Click through the photos to see the machine's original serial number. It was restamped by Singer before it was sold, but the complete disassembly we do in the restoration process reveals the second serial number that Singer stamped underneath the neck of the machine. The number we found indicates that at least part of this machine would have been manufactured along with the other 1933 machines. It is not clear why Singer restamped some of these AD7***** Featherweights, but perhaps they were compensating for a mistake in the recording process, so that two different machines didn't end up with the same number.

The Original Bobbin Case is included, adhering to originality all these years later.  The machine has been serviced and calibrated for quilter’s cotton, so tension is already properly set; however, tension can easily be adjusted depending on fabric needs.

The machine is fitted with an original scrolled faceplate and the replica case includes the side tray for holding the attachments.
